The average consumption of this delicious cheese in Greece is over 11 kg, which is more or less the same amount as all cheeses are eaten by a statistical Pole in a year.
The high average of eaten feta cheese is due to the fact that it is a frequent ingredient of many popular dishes prepared in Greece. Like bread or olive oil, it belongs to the range of staple foods.
