Yesterday, information regarding the date of this year's famous Matala Beach Festival appeared. This time the organizers made a surprise because the festival date was moved. This year, for the first time, the festival will take place in July, and not on the third weekend of June as before. So if any of you would like to join this event, make reservations for July 5, 6 and 7 and come to Matala for a series of concerts organized near the famous rock with caves.

The Matala Beach Festival was first organized in 2011, but then it was more of a musical setting for the presentation of the book "Mythos Matala" by Arn Strohmeyer. These concerts recalled the atmosphere of the 1970s, when hippies lived in Matala. The formula of returning to the past was successful and since then the popularity of concerts has been constantly increasing. Moving this event to the beginning of July, i.e. the high holiday season, will certainly attract even more people.

Admission to the festival is free, as every year. Of course, during this time, as always, the large Matala Camping will be available. However, if you would like to stay overnight in a guesthouse, do not delay booking your date. During the festival, there are many more applicants than available accommodation.
