Anogia is one of the better known mountain towns of Crete. The community living here are people with a lot of spirit, who are quite closed and distrustful of strangers. However, now that coronavirus is a threat, it all goes to the background. Housewives living in Anogia decided to contribute three groszy in the fight against this virus. Within a few days, they sewed over a hundred masks, often using very old machines. The masks will be forwarded to one of the social institutions in Rethymno.

These very aesthetic masks were created based on detailed instructions. Usually, the material used to make them were cotton sheets, which were cut without any thought, according to previously received templates.
Finally, it is worth noting that the oldest hostess, Ms. Evangelii Saloustrou, is already 85 years old. Despite his old age, he is eager to participate in this action and encourages other people living in Anogia to participate.
