End of Carnival 2025 - Great Parade in Rethymno

The Cretan carnival ending today is primarily associated with crazy street parades, and the largest and most famous one is organized every year in Rethymno. This event attracts not only Cretans, but also guests from other parts of Greece and foreign tourists. This year, around 12,000 people took part, and 25 thematic floats drove through the streets of the city.
The best illustration of this event are the photos, which show that the people of Crete like and know how to have a really great time, and the street parades are a great opportunity to let your imagination run wild. You can afford to have such fun today, especially since tomorrow in Greece it will be Clean Monday, a holiday that marks the beginning of the Orthodox Lent and is traditionally a day off from work.
