Although today's news is not directly related to Crete, we thought it was worth writing about it on our website. Starting from April 11, 2024, the Polish airline LOT will restore daily direct connections from Warsaw to Athens.
According to the available flight network, the plane from Chopin Airport will take off at 10:00 and land at the airport of the capital of Greece after 2 hours and 40 minutes. The return flight from Athens airport to Warsaw will depart at 2:25 p.m. and will last 2 hours 35 minutes. According to the information provided by the carrier, cruise connections will be operated 7 days a week throughout the year. The flights are to be operated by Embraer 195, Boeing 737-800 and 737 Max 8.
The resumption of daily connections to Athens is very good news for people traveling for tourist, family and business purposes. Direct scheduled flights will help you plan your trip flexibly, also in the case of holiday trips, during which Athens can become a transfer point before continuing your journey to the Greek islands. Recently, connections with the capital of Athens were operated by the Greek carrier Aegean, but due to stopovers, the travel time extended to over 8 hours.
