Kaminaki Beach inaccessible

The south of Crete hides many little-known nooks and crannies, to which, due to the remote location, access is very difficult. One such place is the Kaminaki beach (Καμινάκι) located in the south-eastern regions of the Asterousia Mountains. Without a doubt, it can be said that its area is truly wild and inaccessible Crete. Inaccessible gorges, steep cliffs, impressive rocks create a unique landscape.

Kaminaki is located at the mouth of the wild Perivoliano gorge. However, despite this, you can get to it mainly from the sea. The ravine is difficult to overcome, which practically prevents free access to the beach from the land. Neither can you drive close to it, as the nearest paved road is 3 km west at the Treis Ekklisies. Nevertheless, if someone will reach Kaminaka, they will not be disappointed. The beach is covered with small pebbles and gravel, surrounded by high rocks on the land side, and the sea has a fabulous blue color.
