Sports competition in Agios Nikolaos this weekend

This weekend, on September 24 and 25, Agios Nikolaos will host two international sporting events: Agios on SUP and Cliff Diving . All those who spend their late holidays in this part of the island will surely be pleased to see the spectacular jumps to Lake Voulismeni live. Both events are also a good promotion of this charming city and Crete itself.

About 200 athletes have registered so far in the Agios on SUP competition, and 26 participants will take part in Agios Nikolaos Cliff Diving: 18 men and 8 women. The latter event is particularly spectacular as the competitors will jump into the famous "bottomless" lake from a platform raised 20 meters above its surface. The number of participants this year is also record-breaking.

It is worth noting that both events return to Agios Nikolaos after a long pandemic break. Cliff Diving will be held in Agios Nikolaos for the fifth time and Agios on SUP for the seventh time.
