Today we are quickly throwing some "warm" information from today's conference of Greek Deputy Minister Hardalias on further easing of restrictions in force in Greece. We publish them because they are important and also apply to tourists. One decision will surely please everyone and most of us have been waiting for it.
From tomorrow (June 24), from 5 a.m., the requirement to use masks outside, provided it is possible to maintain social distance. So the use of masks will still be mandatory indoors and in crowded places. Until now, you could only stay on the beaches without face masks.
As of June 28, the travel ban will be lifted, which now applies between 01:30 and 5:00.
Another change concerns the rules of operation of taverns and restaurants. The protocol concerning the limit of the number of people sitting at one table is changed. From next Monday it will be 10 people. At the moment, the limit is 6 people.
The limit of people staying on organized beaches is also increased. According to the changed regulations, 120 people will be able to stay on every 1000 square meters of the beach.
However, it was not decided to increase the limit of people at wedding receptions. The maximum number of 300 guests still remains.
Some Greek workers will also benefit from the latest changes. The compulsory use of self-tests has been abolished for fully vaccinated people. Until now, they had to be regularly performed by people employed in gastronomy, tourism and education.
