It will be a hot Christmas

This week, the Greeks are getting ready for Easter. This year, the Orthodox ones are extremely late, only on May 2. Everything indicates that it will be time spent in a very hot atmosphere. However, it will not be due to hot family meetings, but to weather factors. From tomorrow, the temperature will start to rise all over Crete, and according to forecasts, the hottest days will be Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday.

The heat is coming for Christmas

In some parts of the island - especially around Heraklion - thermometers can show up to 40 0 C, and around Panormos even 41 0 C. In other parts of Crete, temperatures are expected to be around 38-39 0 C, slightly lower are expected in towns located higher in mountainous terrain. For example, in Anogia, the mercury column is to show no more than 32 0 C. An additional "attraction", which will only worsen the perceived heat, will be the increased transfer of dust from the Sahara desert.

gość PiotrWie  Dziś po raz pierwszy ( a jeździmy dużo od 2008 roku i dużo chodzimy po szlakach) widzieliśmy w Grecji ekipę przygotowującą szlak do sezonu. Nie była to co prawda zbyt duża ekipa - dwie osoby z motyką, sekatorem i niewielką piłą ręczną - ale zawsze coś - na wyspach Kanaryjskich ekipa to pierwszy z kosą spalinową a zanim kilka osób zmiatających resztki na bok.
