Beaches in Istro

Istro, located near Agios Nikolaos, is one of the places we are happy to return to. One of the reasons for our frequent visits is that there are several sandy beaches in the vicinity of this town, perfect for a lazy holiday. Their additional advantage is their location in the depths of small bays, which, together with the surrounding mountains, provide excellent protection against the wind. Of course, the sea most often does not look like in the video below, but usually on these beaches you can count on much smaller waves than in other regions of Crete.
