Virtual Half Marathon in Crete or anywhere

The current specific situation of the sanitary regime affects the lives and activities of many people and companies. The introduced restrictions significantly prevent the organization of various types of mass events, including those related to sports activities. It is no different, unfortunately, also in the case of running competitions, which this year are exceptionally organized in a virtual formula. This year's Crete Halfmarathon will be organized no differently.

Of course, such a formula is extremely far from being able to experience direct participation in the mass race. For many people, this natural injection of adrenaline will certainly be missing, associated with competition with other participants, as well as with yourself. We know from our own experience that usually the best times are set at competitions, when someone is chasing someone or when someone figuratively follows us.

However, the virtual formula also has its undeniable advantages. In the rush of everyday life, it is often difficult to find enough free time to be able to fly to Crete especially for a running weekend. In the case of virtual competition, this problem completely disappears. In this year's online edition, you can participate in the Crete Halfmarathon any day and at any time from October 1 to October 15. What's more, you can participate in three distances: 5, 10 and 21 kilometers. If you are in good shape, you can register for each of them.

Unfortunately, after completing it, the only souvenir of participation in this race will be your time posted on the summary scoreboard. This time you will not receive a medal or a commemorative T-shirt. As a consolation, however, we must mention that the run is completely free.
