Gortyna - the former capital of Crete

The archaeological excavations of ancient Gortyna are undoubtedly one of the most interesting and at the same time the most extensive excavations in Crete. You need to reserve an appropriate amount of time to visit at least a part of the ruins that make up this complex. Most of the sites are scattered across the surrounding hills and nearby olive groves. If you have not had the opportunity to visit these excavations so far, we encourage you to include them in your plans.  Wij hebben helemaal geen probleem met Kreta en helemaal niet met de wegbewijzering daar. Trouwens tegenwoordig heb je ook navigatie zo niet dan rij je gewoon op gevoel je komt altijd wel op een mooi plekje uit en je komt vanzelf wel op een weg met wegbewijzering tegen. Maar wat kan het je schelen je hebt vakantie
