Ammunition around Elounda

The management of the port of Agios Nikolaos was informed yesterday by a private person about the identification of about 10 missiles on the rocky seabed near the town of Plaka next to Elounda. The ammunition probably comes from World War II and was found only 1.5-2 meters deep. Each shell is approximately 0.3 meters long. Some of them have already corroded, so the appropriate naval team is expected to remove this find within a week. Soldiers are also to search a larger area of the sea bottom, because maybe this is not the only souvenir of this type in this area.
