Today, one of the most important holidays, i.e. Independence Day, is celebrated in Greece. Every year various celebrations are organized as part of the celebrations in most cities. Unfortunately, this year, for obvious reasons, their implementation was not possible. This does not mean, however, that the Greeks do not celebrate their national holiday. Two Cretans from Chania found a very interesting way to distinguish that day. As flashnews.gr reports, as part of the Independence Day celebrations, they climbed the snowy peak of Xylaris, where they plugged the Greek flag.

In this unusual expedition in the White Mountains, they were accompanied by three additional dogs. Together with their guardians they reached the very top of Xylaris, which rises around 1734 meters above sea level. It must be admitted that it was a very unusual and very active way to celebrate the Greek Independence Day. The flag stopped at the top by Nikos and Robert was also certainly one of the highest waving flags of Greece that day.
