Report from the Natura Food & beECO fair

This year's edition of the Natura Food & beECO fair organized in Łódź ended last weekend. This is an event in which we have been participating for a good few years not only because of the presence of products from Greece, but also because of the opportunity to learn and taste many interesting products manufactured by our native companies. Often these are quite niche products that you will not find in most stores and supermarkets. Therefore, these fairs are practically the only opportunity to learn about this type of novelty.

This year, honey producers have particularly emphasized their presence. Gourmets of this natural sweetness could even choose from beekeeping products from various regions of Poland. Looking through the selection of honeys that were exhibited at the fair, it can also be seen that those that have undergone the process of creaming and enriching with additional flavors are becoming increasingly popular. Like in previous years, we were attracted by the offer of Bartnik Mazurski, who was one of the precursors of this trend at the Natura Food fair. In the future, we especially recommend you try honey with the addition of cinnamon, ginger or spices characteristic for gingerbread.

The Natura Food Fair is also a great opportunity to stock up on various high-quality cheeses. On the Łomnicki Cheese pile, among others, those requiring long-term ripening were available, characterized by a very expressive and strong taste. We personally liked the cheese, which ripens in the ashes. The method of its preparation and maturation was based on ancient Roman recipes. Unfortunately, this year's fair ran out of Grądzkie Cheese Stands. We hope that the absence of this excellent manufacturer was only temporary.




People looking for definitely milder flavors could not complain about the lack of choice. At the Klimeko stand a wide selection of cottage cheese was available, which is subjected to the process of smoking, baking and coating in various types of herb mixtures. These cheeses not only work well as additions to sandwiches, but are also a very successful independent snack served e.g. with wine. A large selection of white cheeses was also available at the fair. Among current curd producers, it is worth mentioning, for example, Okręgowa Spółdzielnia z Głuchów, whose very tasty white cheese not only won the recognition of many consumers (including ours), but also won awards. Excellent butter from this cooperative is also recommended.

This year's fair was also a great opportunity to participate in various lectures and culinary shows, which aimed, among others, at promoting healthy eating. At the shows, under the watchful eye of chef Carlos Gonzales Tejer, various types of dishes originating from regional cuisines were also shown. There were also cooking shows performed by Rodo and Anie from Tofillo in Crete, which participated in the fair at the invitation of the kreta24.pl store. They showed people visiting the fair how to make dakos, which is one of the most popular Greek meze, among others.

It is worth noting that products derived from the Mediterranean basin are increasingly represented at the Łódź trade fair. This year, among others, the exhibition of Spanish olives attracted our attention. The olive exhibitions that could be seen at booth www.oliwowo.pl and www.kochamoliwki.pl were also very characteristic. The choice of types and flavors was so large that in our opinion every fan of olives should be able to find their taste at one of these two exhibitors. We were tempted by pickled royal olives in grandma's marinade, which were offered at kochamoliwki.pl.





Among this year's novelties originating from Greece, it is worth mentioning the very tasty halva Cretan Halva available at the stand www.kreta24.pl . Very interesting and interesting in taste was also natural peanut butter, which was almost one hundred percent prepared based on peanuts with a small addition of salt. It is worth emphasizing at this point that these products are one of the few in which the addition of palm oil is not used. In our opinion, this particularly clearly affects the quality of halva, which is not only better in taste, but also has a more fluffy consistency.

This year's novelty at the Kreta24.pl stand was also the Tofilloherbs spices, which are collected on the Omalos Plateau in Crete. Staying on the topic of herbs, it is also worth mentioning Madara brand products also created by Tofillo. They are characterized by a very intense and fresh aroma. It was the mix of these spices and Eliam's Cretan olive oil that was the basis for the preparation of dishes during the culinary shows led by Rodo and Annie.



At the kreta24.pl stand, you could find a large selection of different types of oil from Greece and Crete. Among them there could also be those characterized not only by high quality but also by a high content of healthy polyphenols. It is worth mentioning first of all Eliama Gold oil, which has a number of valued distinctions and the Health Claim label, which can only boast of polyphenol oils, which are recognized in the European Union as products that bring health benefits.

W Jeorjopouli montowali parasole kilka dni temu. No jestem ciekawa czy teraz będą demontować.

Bardzo się cieszę. Mnie to odpowiada, bo nie znoszę głośnej muzyki na plaży i coraz trudniej było znaleźć miejsce bez leżaków. Jak ktoś chce leżaki to zapewne znajdzie odpowiednie miejsce.
W Falasarnie byłam ostatnio jakieś 2-3 lata temu. Leżak na leżaku, głośna muzyka z baru, co najmniej dwa kłady, kursujące tam i z powrotem co kilka minut, generujace niesamowity hałas i smród.... a pamiętam jeszcze czasy, jak można było na tej plaży rozłożyć się z kocykiem w ciszy i spokoju, eh... no cóż może i szkoda miejsc pracy, ale ludzie wszystko potrafią zniszczyć i nie znają umiaru jeśli chodzi o kasę, ... (...)
Bardzo dobrze. Jak ktoś nie chce wypożyczać leżaka, to miejsca musi szukać na drugim końcu wyspy i w najbrzydszej okolicy.
