Grecos Holiday is currently one of the fastest growing companies in the tourism industry. Although, thanks to interesting television commercials, it is now a quite recognizable travel agency, its history is not too long and the inauguration of the activity took place in 2006. After just a few years of work, Grecos was promoted to the group of the ten largest tour operators operating in Poland. Thanks to the highly profiled offer, this office is strongly associated with the rest in Greece.
Recreation in Crete is in the catalog of this travel agency from the very beginning. At the moment, the vast majority of the 44 hotels offered are concentrated around the four main cities located in the northern coast area: Chania, Heraklion (east coast towards Malia and Hersonissos), Rethymno and Agios Nikolaos. Unfortunately, Grecos's offer is relatively poorly represented in the southern part of Crete. With the exception of a few hotels in the vicinity of Ierapetra, the coast of Crete from the Libyan Sea is virtually absent from the offer of this tour operator.
When browsing the catalog, it is easy to appreciate the many directions of departure offered by this office
Over the past few years Grecos Holiday has focused strongly on the development of new new Greek destinations such as Lefkada, Lesbos and Kefalonia. Unfortunately, this did not mean a dynamic change of the leisure offer in Crete, which has been relatively stable for several years and mainly based on a range of previously checked hotels.
One of the interesting elements that appeared in the Grecos Holiday offer was the offer of a combined holiday under the name (7 + 7), in which a two-week holiday in Crete was divided between two hotels located within two different regions of the island. It was a perfect proposition for people who did not want to spend their whole holiday in one place. Unfortunately, this form of rest at the moment is no longer offered by Grecosa.
Hotel Chryssana in Kolimbari offered at Grecos Holiday until 2009
In 2015, outflows are carried out from nine Polish cities: Bydgoszcz (only Heraklion), Gdańsk, Katowice, Kraków, Poznań, Rzeszów (only Heraklion), Warsaw, Wrocław, Szczecin (only Heraklion). Flights usually take place once a week and are served by popular charter airlines Enter Air and Small Planet.
The length of the booking covers only the most popular weekly and two-week stays. Quite a small flexibility of terms is the result of a relatively limited network of connections.
Unfortunately, Grecos Holiday was not willing to disclose his last year's statistics to us. Therefore, we had to use the data for 2013, which were the only ones available on the internet (ranking of travel agencies Rzeczpospolita). The number of tourists who used Grecos Holiday services during that period was over 90,000. However, based on the dynamics of revenue growth, it can be expected that last year the number of clients using the services of this office certainly exceeded 100,000 people. Of course, only some of these people were tourists spending their holidays in Crete.
The insurance guarantee provided for the period from September 2014 to September 2015 is PLN 45 million and is 5 million more than in the previous year.
The Itaka Travel Agency was established in 1989. Twenty years of stable and consistent development has made Itaka the largest travel agency among all companies dealing in mass tourism in Poland. Since 2011, after the spectacular fall of the Triada / SkyClub travel agency - one of the main competitors, the position of Ithaca as the undisputed leader of the Polish market seems not to be threatened. Anyway, the confirmation of this is the nearly 30% share in the entire year-long market of trips organized in Poland.
Rainbow Tours is one of the longer operating and at the same time one of the largest Polish travel agencies. This company has been present on our domestic tourist market since 1990. For several years, Rainbow Tours has been at the forefront of the largest national tour operators. Last year, the company significantly increased its sales. This success allowed Rainbow Tours to overtake TUI Polska, which is one of its biggest competitors. Thanks to this, the office is the current vice-leader on the Polish market.
