Winter Omalos and Lefka Ori

The White Mountains (Lefka Ori), along with the Omalos plateau, are generally the first places where the winter weather appears in Crete. This, of course, does not surprise anyone, because it is a highly situated part of the island. Omalos lies at an altitude of 1100 m above sea level, and in the White Mountains alone there are over 30 peaks, the height of which exceeds 2000 meters. You can see what such a winter landscape looks like in today's video. This, of course, is just the beginning of the real winter. Surely it will be completely white here until spring.
