Chania - this year's Santa Run is in question

Santa Run organized in Chania is one event that combines the promotion of healthy physical activity with charity. Over the eight years in which this race took place, about 400,000 were collected. €, which have credited the accounts of various types of organizations that support people in need. Unfortunately, for now, everything indicates that this year's edition of this event will be canceled.

This decision was made at the last general meeting of the association that dealt with the organization of Santa Run in Chania. Nektarios Xanthoudakis and Yiannis Giannakakis - members of the board announced that the main argument for canceling this year's Mykolaiv Race was too few people involved in its organization. Personnel shortages meant that a big question mark was whether it would be possible to maintain the appropriate organizational level of the upcoming event.

The board of the association also emphasized that although this year's edition was formally canceled, people gathered around Santa Run will continue to talk with partners and local authorities. This gives some hope that, despite everything, this year's edition of the Santa Run will take place. It is a pity that this event, which permanently entered the calendar of events in Chania, ceased to be organized.
