Tomorrow, on Monday, September 2, the next edition of the Sardine Festival will begin on the coast of Nea Chora in Chania. All people participating in this event will have the opportunity to try a variety of local dishes, which include these very popular fish in Crete. The whole atmosphere of this extraordinary feast will be complemented by a musical setting prepared by Nikos Gonianakis and his band.
In addition to culinary and music attractions, the program of this event could also include traditional Greek dances. Bands such as Stavraetoi, as well as dancers associated in folk clubs and associations will perform at the festival. The beginning of the festival on the beach of Nea Chora is expected at 8pm. The organizers of this event are the region and municipality of Chania, as well as various types of local organizations and associations, including such as: Association of Shop and Hotel Owners in Chania, Nea Choral Society Chora, as well as the local parish of Agia Ekaterini.
