We've always wanted to see Crete in the clouds, but from June to August it's not a very common sight and if it's already high up in the mountains. This time, however, our Crete surprised us. Going deep into the Richtis Gorge located near the town of Exo Mouliana, it is hard not to resist the impression that it enters a land completely different from the rest of Crete. The abundance of water and shade mean that even at the peak of the tourist season, this place is full of lush vegetation. So obvious rust colors dominate in other places of Crete, they are completely absent here because their place is replaced by lush greenery.
